Chelsea Zmetana PT
Physiotherapist
Chelsea (she/her) is a passionate and patient-focused physiotherapist dedicated to helping people move better, feel stronger, and manage pain. She was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, and then moved to Vancouver for school, completing both her undergraduate degrees in Kinesiology and her Master’s in Physiotherapy at UBC.
Patient-centered care
Her approach is guided by every individual’s unique goals, experiences, challenges, and stage of rehabilitation. She combines education, exercise, and hands-on therapy techniques to optimize recovery, improve function, and enhance overall health and well-being.
She has experience working with a wide range of individuals with musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiorespiratory conditions. She has developed a special interest in supporting individuals with osteoarthritis, those recovering from joint replacements, and those with osteoporosis, focusing on safe, effective ways to build strength and confidence in movement. She also enjoys working with older adults to help them maintain and prolong their independence and reduce their risk of falls.
She is passionate about incorporating clinical Pilates into rehabilitation, using it to support recovery, improve strength, and help people move more comfortably and confidently at any age.
Beyond her role at Cedar, Chelsea contributed to healthcare delivery at Vancouver General Hospital on an older adult medical unit, gaining valuable complementary experience in an acute care setting.
