Sofia Vela

Exercise Rehab
Certified Clinical Pilates Instructor

Sofia Vela is a pilates instructor from Monterrey, Mexico. She was first introduced to pilates by her older sister through Winsor Pilates. After several years trying different sports, finishing school and moving to Vancouver, she suffered a lower back injury that made her afraid of movement.

Sofia turned to pilates to manage her chronic pain and regain her health. Practicing pilates helped improve her alignment and balance, and has made a major difference in her quality of life.

Her personal experience inspired her to get certified on mat and reformer with Pilates Process Vancouver. Since then she has made it her goal to help people that just like her had come to live with injuries and chronic pain. Sofia has been continuing her pilates education working towards her cadillac and chair certifications with Pilates Process
